SUPER RARE Vintage National Union 813 vacuum tube, also known as a VT-144. It is a beam power transmitting tube that was popular with amateur radio operators following World War II.
The National Union 813 vacuum tube is a large glass beam power pentode with a plate dissipation of 125 watts. It was first marketed by RCA in 1938 and was used in various applications, including transmitters for amateur radio. The tube has a 7-pin base and a filament rating of 10 volts at 5 amperes. The tube's use in amateur radio declined in the late 1950s and early 1960s as single sideband became a more popular operating mode.
