Shows U.S. Navy Lt. (JG) Harry B. Traumbauer and Lt. (JG) Nguyen Si leading a Vietnamese Navy patrol across a jungle stream to reach an ambush team after contact with Viet Cong in the rice paddies of the Mekong Delta.
Their unit used coastal junk boats to insert and support patrols searching for personnel and supplies, frequently going ashore into jungle and flooded terrain for reconnaissance missions.
