Sz Sm James Ottas Of NY Full Length Dark Brown Mink Coat Women’s 1950’s Vintage

This gorgeous James Ottas full-length dark brown mink coat is in great condition being from the late 1950s. This lovely custom-made women's coat features a classic style with vertical pelts, a low collar, narrow cuffs, two outer pockets lined with velour, and an inner red asian medallion motif silk lining with inner belt. Made of mink fur, this coat has a luxurious look suitable for eveningwear or casual occasions.

Produced in New York City, this original piece exudes a timeless elegance with its XS/S size and regular fit. The coat is 43” long, chest is 19" across and shoulder to shoulder is 17". The belt total measurement is 46" long. The best representation of the color is on the model, who is a size medium and 5’5”. There is an oral history that the NY designer told the purchaser that he only made one coat just like this for Grace Kelly! There were 2 owners who stored it in a cedar closet. There is a barely visible 1” slit at the seam on the right arm. There are no other defects.
