A handsome complete set of five vintage Pimpernel placemats, each featuring a richly colored reproduction of a historic 19th-century engraving. Scenes include The Rideau Canal (Bytown), Kingston, St. John’s, and other early Canadian or maritime views, rendered with crisp detail and classic period charm.
These mats are the high-quality, heat-resistant, cork-backed style for which Pimpernel has long been known. Each measures approximately 11¾" x 8¾", with a sage-green border and gilt accents that frame the artwork beautifully. see pictures for condition and dimensions.
