②Recovery Drive for Microsoft Surface Laptop

You can restore your Microsoft factory settings (as new) in the following cases:
・HDD or SSD replaced and performance issues arose
・Upgraded Windows and want to revert to the original OS
・Computer won't boot (see image 1)
・Surface is slow and freezes
・Virus infection

With this recovery drive USB memory (16GB), you can insert it into the Surface's USB port and turn it on to display the recovery screen, allowing you to restore your device as desired (images 2, 3, and 4).
Recovery is possible in over 90% of cases, but in rare instances, if there is a critical hardware issue with the Surface, recovery may not be possible.
You can also access the UEFI settings from the recovery screen (image 5).

While a recovery drive for a standard PC can be created with around 8GB, Surface devices require a recovery drive of 10GB or more for complete recovery. Therefore, a 16GB drive is used for creating the recovery drive.
After purchase, you may be asked for the product name and serial number.
The serial number is a 12-digit number located near the Windows logo on the Surface body's stand (image 6).
Alternatively, the serial number is a 12-digit number displayed on the UEFI screen, which can be accessed by pressing the power button and the volume down button simultaneously (image 7).
You may be asked for either serial number.
