This is a unique handwoven tapestry made to be a wall hanging via its dowel rod and hanging string. It has a fabric backing separate from the weave itself.
It features a scenic coastal landscape with a woman in a long dress and hat standing on a cobblestone path, looking out at the sea. The foreground includes a white picket fence and various flowers. In the background, there is a lighthouse and a small house on a hill.
The tapestry contains a poem, along with the name Cecilia at the bottom right:
"For all the hills I had to climb / For all the stones that bruised my feet / For all the storms and burning heat / My heart but sings this grateful song / These are the things that made me strong."
The condition of the tapestry is pretty good to great. The blue back is a little smudgy as shown.
