This is a Monsha fabric. If made into a haori (short coat), it's very common to wear it throughout the year, except for mid-winter, in modern times. This is a very popular Monsha fabric bolt.
Monsha is a high-end fabric, more expensive than regular fabrics, and generally costs over 200,000 yen.
This has enough length to make a kimono, but if making a haori, long haori with a length of 100cm or more are popular nowadays, so having enough length is reassuring.
