A very rare piece of Vermont history, This 1889 document appoints Judge Fred Butler to the Rutland City Court in the state of Vermont by Governor William P. Dillingham. The Document has several signatures including Governor Dillingham and Judge Butler. Stamped with the raised seal of Vermont. Judge Butler would later be appointed to the State Senate and later still to Associate Justice of the Vermont Supreme Court.
Would look amazing framed and hung. Some wear consistent with age. See all photos.
