Working and hand-painted decorative stand. A lovely piece is labeled on bottom Anri REUGE. The 3 geese move up and down and girl rotates to the music.
Nothing is broken or chipped. In excellent condition. This is hand carved from Switzerland. Circa 1950.
Reuge is a historical Swiss Co. that manufactures music boxes, etc. and is known for their craftsmanship and come in a variety of styles. Since 1865 started by Charles Reuge in Sainte-Croix, Switzerland. Reuge's son Albert registered company's trademark in 1886 and they began producing music boxes. Today, Reuge is considered a master of mechanical music and the world's premier music company.
